Montealto started operations in the Cordoba town of Aguilar de la Frontera in 1995 as a developer and construction company. Thanks to its expansion and growth capacity, it has become established as one of the leading industrial groups in Andalusia, successfully running five different business areas: Infrastructures, Energy, Venture Capital, Engineering and Real Estate Development. In 2008, it had a turnover of 130 million euros and has a human team made up of 350 professionals.
Before reaching its present-day situation, in 2001 Montealto launched its first two business lines, Montealto Real Estate and Montealto Infrastructures. In 2003, Montealto Engineering was started and, only a year later, two more lines were started up, Civil Engineering (part of Infrastructures) and Energy. Lastly, in 2006 Montealto Venture Capital was founded, established as the ideal vehicle for channelling the large part of the group's diversification investments.
2008 was the definitive year for launching the group and a business objective was established that year to strengthen as a multinational in all areas in which it operates.
